Our story started in Louisville, Kentucky where we met while attending the University of Louisville. As we were finishing up our engineering and nursing degrees, we bought our first fixer upper in our early 20s. Our first home, we always remembered it as “The Hannah Home” was a foreclosed home built in 1953. We tore this home down to nothing but studs. We had one bedroom we kept somewhat normal for us and our three dogs to live in. Dustin spent endless amount of hours on YouTube watching tutorials on how to rebuild a home. Thankfully, with his engineering background, everything came so natural to him. We quickly found a passion through our Hannah Home in bringing older homes back to life. Now 10+ years later, that passion is Scarlet Oak Homes.
